Build Your Medical Practitioner Brand by Collaborating

How you can brand yourself as a medical practitioner and brand your practice by collaborating with other healthcare providers, other healthcare professionals in your area?

You do not have to do it alone! You can figure out ways that you can spread the word about what you are doing and how you are helping patients in a more collaborative way. What am I talking about? I am breaking this down into three ideas of how you can work with other healthcare providers.

In-Person Events

The first one is in-person events. Go to a local health fair and getting a table and maybe sharing the table and the cost of the table and the effort talking at the table with a colleague that lives locally to you.

Maybe you are a diabetes expert and maybe they are a podiatrist or an ophthalmologist. Speak to people at the health fair about how to avoid diabetes or improve their diabetes. And you do it in this nice joint venture. You could also give a talk at a local library or community center.

Virtual

The second idea is a virtual sort of event, especially during the time of COVID-19. Everything was webinars, zooms, and podcasts. I feel as though the tide is changing. Now, luckily, and things are opening up, but it does not mean we can’t go back to those remote virtual sorts of meetings.

Record a q and a session with an expert in your field or in a related field, or you sort of interview each other. And then you can both share that piece of content, that video on your website, on your social media. It could be of great value to potential clients, potential patients.

Write Something

And the last idea is a little outside of the box, but you could write something with a colleague. It could be a simple article that you co-write. You could put it in a local newspaper magazine, or maybe you want to write a book, an eBook.

I have written quite a few eBooks. You can publish them on Amazon basically at no cost. It is a great way to get the word out. It shows you as an expert, but instead of taking the entire project on yourself, if you do it, say with nine colleagues, you each take one chapter. Now you have a 10 chapter book where you each speak about some topic that you’re an expert in.

This may seem like a lot of trouble, but it is really nice to not feel alone as you are building your business and your practice. There are people exactly in the same boat that you can directly work with and build each other’s brands at the same time. There’s always strength in numbers and you do not have to do it alone. Go ahead, make some connections, introduce these ideas to people that you are networking with, and I think you will be happily surprised at how much interest there will be to working with you on something like this.
